Does adding acetone to my gas harm or damage my engine?:
*Acetone can dry out rubber gaskets in your engine in high concentrations - which could lead to leaks. I haven't made up my mind as to whether the amounts added to my engine have any negative effects being that they are miniscule (Think 2.8 oz of acetone to 1792 ounces of gas). Still, just because I haven't found anyone complaining of engine problems due to acetone, and am using it in my own engine, doesn't mean complications won't arise. Use at your own risk!
*Be careful when adding. If it gets on your paint, it will ruin your paint job!
